As part of our commitment to responsible farming, K Parrish & Son operate a 450,000-litre rainwater harvesting system. Rainwater collected from our farm buildings is stored in dedicated tanks and reused throughout the farm, helping us reduce reliance on mains water and iproved sustainability of our arable farming practices.
The storage capacity is sufficient to supply around 3,000 hectares of spraying applications. With 890 hectares of combinable crops grown on the farm, our harvested rainwater can cover more than three full spray programmes, making the business effectively self-sufficient fr spray water in most seasons.
Naturally collected rainwater also has agronomic benefits. Its softer water quality improves the performance and mixing of pesticides, helping maximise spray efficiency in the field.
